Fitbit has arrived
The much anticipated FitBit has finally arrived. It took 6 days to travel from America to The Netherlands and stayed 1 day in the customs here in the Netherlands. The reason why I purchased it is because I am currently working on a project involves with sleep and this FitBit has the ability to measure your sleep, which is pretty similar in the concept of what I am working on, so I was curious about this little thing. So far this little product is pretty cool.

Meet the family
You place the FitBit in a soft wrist band while you sleep and it will record the time you took to fall asleep, how many times you woke up at night, and the bed time. Basically Fitbit uses the same technology that has been used in sleep research and fitnesses, namely the accelerometers, which can measure your activity and the number of steps (pedometer). If you want to measure your activity, you can clip it on your belt, your pocket, etc.. You will have your very own Nike+Ipod sensor
